Engauge: Improving Sustainability in Schools
Engauge was initially developed by West Sussex County Council as a pioneering project to help schools improve their sustainability. It brought together many existing environmental initiatives such as Eco schools and Healthy schools and supported the previous government's 2020 targets for sustainable schools. Since 2010 Engauge is part of the Better Tomorrows Community Interest Company. Engauge provides:
- Specifically designed sustainability self-assessment tools for schools, businesses and communities
- Unique assessments produced with advice from specialists
- A self-help improvement support service
- Links to a range of sustainability specialists
- Practical guidance and case studies to demonstrate good practice
- A direct contact point for making sustainability links through this new website
